Text description provided by the architects. The plot is located along the street of Fécamp between two opposite urban systems : On one side, a low-density urban zone with small detached housing due to mining cities and recent housing development. On the other, a 60- 70’s housing area which is developped vertically (R+9, R+10) on the street of Fécamp.
The 9 houses, meant for renting, have been built in wood that will turn grey as it ages, with low maintenance charges. They have a living space flexible enough to accomodate any family.
On the fisrt floor which is built in wood, the terraces and patios give rythm to the facade, and enlighten the rooms built on the eastern side while protecting them from outside glances. Terraces and large windows offer to the inhabitants a panoramic view on the garden, good luminosity inside and a nice place to live in.
